Cool Women/Hot Topics is the beginning of an important dialogue for the Omaha community.
Hosted at the College of Saint Mary on April 16, the meeting brought together 100 women from throughout the Omaha area, all of whom reflect unique perspectives and insights into the challenges confronting metro-area women. Small-group discussions identified a broad list of issues that now serve as the starting point for a comprehensive community study. The study will evaluate and validate the issues, associated causes, potential solutions and availability of current services for women in the Omaha area. It is expected to be completed and ready for presentation by early 2011, at which time Omaha’s Community of Women for Change will reconvene and move forward with an agenda that will deliver on the promise: Informing, inspiring, uniting for change.
